With no virus detected, C drive has lost memory down to 2% (367 MB ) 0f 14.22

GB using AMD 1001 Mhz processor. This loss has been gradual over last month.

History deleted, hard drive cleaned, registery checked, old files compressed.

Defrag log shows 20 Windows\installer files w/ 93 MB each, containing total

7807 frags. Anyone have any ideas how to regain hard drive memory ?

Re: C drive looseing memory

You might check your system restore settings, in Vista the default is 15%,

you can adjust it with vssadmin.exe. If that is the problem I suggest you

Google vssadmin, for more information. Oh yes, it must be run from the DOS

prompt with run as administrator option.

I don't know if the same thing applies to XP 64 as I don't use or have it.

Snapshot:

You might try this tool named SpaceMonger (http://www.sixty-five.cc/sm/) to

in order to have a graphical view of your disk usage and maybe then pinpoint

what is causing it to be filled up.
