Guest Theo Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Re: Twain 64bit? The Epson drivers I have installed on my Win x64 for Epson Perfection 3170 Photo scanner are indeed 64-bit drivers. They won't work in my 32-bit installation and if you research Microsoft's web site there used to be specific information posted to affirm that the drivers for Win x64 had to be 64-bit to work. Here's one reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896333 Kue2 wrote: > Hi Dennis > I believe they are 32 bit drivers that work on x64 and Vista x64 > Looking for a 64-bit DSM that lets a true 64-bit application access the > Twain driver... > > > > "Dennis Pack" <dennispack@hotmail.nospam.com> wrote in message > news:1609AF9B-7E3E-489D-A472-DB5F6CDC61A6@microsoft.com... >> Kue2: >> Epson has twain drivers for various models for XP x64 and Vista >> x64. It is a stand alone program, not a twain, but it does allow using older scanners on 64 bit operations systems.
