Regardless of application running, my system repeatedly hangs up. A look at

the Task Manager status indicates that one, or more, of the open apps is/are

"not responding". The Process page shows that the "System Idle process" is

the only thing active. Performance is at 1% or less. I run McAfee and run

OneCare. And, have cleaned the registry often. Cleared cookies and temp

files. And, defragged the disk. Six year old Dell x86 family 6 model 8

stepping 10 system, 128meg Ram, not upgradable. Opening the Task Manager

seems to clear the problem temporarily but that may be a coincidence.

Happening many many times an hour. Used for surfing, email, writing, and

small spread sheets. No games or resource eaters.

OneCare is not supported on that system, operating system or hardware

wise. try uninstalling it and see if things perk up.
