Guest crazylarry Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Resently my win200 pro went crazy. I lost all my normal icons and now they have lnk extensions and all the programs in the start up menu have the same extensions. I have no idea what I did but obviously I did something. I can run all the programs but its a long drawn out process to do so. I really dont want to have to reload everything if I can help it. I sure would like to hear from someone that has had, and solved this problem. Help Help Help and thanks in advance. crazylarry

Copy and paste the following text to Notepad and save it to a floppy as "a:\lnk.reg". Start the Windows 2000 computer, insert the floppy, find the "lnk.reg" file in Windows Explorer or My Computer, double-click it and confirm the modification. You may have to restart the computer for the change to take effect.
