Guest Infinitychic Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Win2000 running on computer for a year. Back to school and connected to University server - Server says install Win2000 security updates to get log on so I did. Now I have a black screen on power-up. Put Windows 2000 disk in CD and restarted but no luck. Not sure if CD is the first boot choice set in bios. Any ideas?

We obviously cannot tell you if the CD drive is the primary BIOS boot device - only you can! You should also try the usual boot options such as "Last Known Good Configuration" and "Safe Mode".
