Re: Integration/Slipstream

The 'Trial' was never meant to be upgradeable - you try it, by an OEM and

make a clean install - or you will sometimes have the option to do a Repair

Install on to that version, which in effect is sort of an upgrade. I can

only guess that the trial is missing some piece that the Service Packs would

need to do it's integration trick. In short, the trial is not meant to be

the source for slipstreaming, and in the end you'd probably not want to keep

such an installation, because it might give you trouble?

SP1 was already built-in with the trial and doesn't have to be slipstreamed.

What you might want to do, is to slipstream the SP2 into the Realease

Version, not the Trial.

Re: Integration/Slipstream

The Eval version doesn't support slipstreaming, apparently. (SP1 is already

part of XP x64.)

Once you have the full version, I'm sure you'll be able to slipstream if

that's what you want to do. Personally, I'm a bit reluctant, since there are

definitely some machines where I'm avoiding SP2 for the moment. (Broadcom

NICs, primarily.)
