I must have accidentally erased my Quick Launch for the Epson RX500 printer. Is

there an easy way to restore it?

Re: Epson Quick Launch

We don't know what this is. You can drag any shortcuts to the Quick Launch

bar if that's what you're asking about.

Re: Epson Quick Launch

There is no executable for the Epson Printer. There is a maintenance facility

for the

printer to clean the ink jets, etc. I can bring it up round about by initiating

a print

and selecting the maintenance mode. What I would like to replace is the same

ability to go into this maintenance mode by clicking on an icon in the Quick

Launch

toolbar. I cannot locate any direct references to this maintenance facility.

Perhaps

I have to reinstall the printer, which I was trying to avoid.

Re: Epson Quick Launch

Reinstalling the Epson software is probably your best bet.

Re: Epson Quick Launch

Maybe this will help:

From the Epson CX7800 User's Manual

You don't see the printer icon in the lower right corner of your screen

(taskbar) in Windows.

Try restarting your computer. If you still don't see the icon, follow these

steps:

Click Start, point to Settings or Printers and Faxes, then select Printers.

Right-click your Epson Stylus CX7800 and select Printing Preferences.

Click the Maintenance tab.

Click the Speed and Progress button, then click the Monitoring Preferences

button.

Click the Shortcut Icon box. Then click OK to close the open windows

Re: Epson Quick Launch

That may work, but I successfully restored the Quick Start by reloading the printer

driver. I must have inadvertently deleted it when cleaning up my files, or some

other

program did it for me.

I believe that would put the printer icon on the desk top, from where it could

be moved or copied to the Quick Launch Task Bar.

Not really. In my model, it puts the icon in the notification area of the

taskbar, which is on the right-hand side of the taskbar. That's where mine is.

The only Epson shortcut in my Quick Launch toolbar is for scanning. I put this

one there.
