Cannot view hidden files and folders, or edit default domain polic

I am having a lot of problems with my W2K server. I cannot edit my default

domain policy, local security policy, or my group policies at all. I do not

have permission to do so, even though I am logged on as the network

administrator. More to the point, when I select view hidden files and folders

through folder options, it makes the screen blink and then changes nothing in

the folder view. I believe this is down to my default domain security policy

which someone has changed in my absence. Can the default domain policy or the

show hidden files and folders option be edited in the registry? If so where

can I find them? All help much appreciated!
