All of a sudden, my Media Player cannot play files anymore. It just

gave me the above error. I think it's not Media Player but the file

association. But I just can't find where I need to do the repairs.

Any advice ? Thanks !

Re: "the operating system cannot run %1"

Hi Bob

I've already checked WMV is associated with "Windows Media Audio/

Video file". Seems like something is wrong with the "Windows Media

Audio/Video file" definition. I don't know how to amend the "Windows

Media Audio/Video file" definition. Could you advise me please ?

Thanks very much !

Play on mine has the following contents. (watch the wrap there is a

space before the %L)

"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /prefetch:7 /Play "%L"

Thanks Bob. I took the drastic way. Reinstalled WMP and it's working

now.
