I have a ferrari 5000 yes built for vista 32 and 64 bit I have vista

ultimate 32 bit installed my question is can I upgrade from 32 bit to 64 or

do I have to do a god damn full install and deal with either dual boot or

full reformat and start over from scratch so can I upgrade or not?

Hello David,

You would have to do a clean install. There is no upgrade path from a 32

bit to a 64 bit operating system.

You could dual boot if you have a separate partition. Note that each

install requires a separate product key/license.

Re: can I upgrade to vista 64 bit?

You can not upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit the 2 systems are totally

different and does not allow you to upgrade, why? proberly because it is 2

different architectures.

It is always good doing a clean install.

Re: can I upgrade to vista 64 bit?

Jane C:

If disk space were not a problem I would surely go for installing Vista x64

in a separate partition (dual-boot fashion).

After checking that Vista x64 is fully functional with no driver issues and

programs incompatibilities then, and only then, I would wipe out Vista x86.
