Users are using mstsc to access our server.

 

How do I disable this ability?

There are several ways. One is to turn off Terminal Services.

If you cannot disable Terminal Services then lock it down with Terminal

Services Configuration tool (TSCC.msc) or Group Policy (gpedit.msc).

I want to be able to control who gets access. For example, the IT department

may use this.

Further to what John wrote, you can even restrict it in

each and every user profile. Have a bit of a poke around!
