In restoring a single, multi-user, desktop computer seem to have somehow

locked the desktop and start menus of all the users. Any changes the

users make to their desktops or start menus are not saved after they log

out.

The recycle bins do not "work" either. Dragging a an icon onto a

recycle bin doesn't work. The bin does not become highlighted and the

dragged icon ends up resting atop the bin's icon.

View settings in windows explorer, internet option advanced ticks aren't

saved either.

Thanks.

Re: Not Saving User Settings?

I should have added how I think I did this. I was "restoring" the

user's files on a new install. I created users (as restricted users)

then copied everything in their former Documents and Settings/username

directories into the new ones.
