Hello,

Whenever I scan my harddrives with System Protector from SySTweak, it tells me it has found a gen-v malware in my wextract.exe in one of the folder under winsxs.

The exact location is:

c:windowswinsxsamd64_microsoft-windows-ie-iexpress_31bf3856ad364e35_11.0.9600.17801_none_6803734021d5f70ewextract.exe

Now I have tried removing this by using System Protector, but after about 10-12 tries, it still pops up whenever I let it scan.

I have tried to manually remove it, but am being told that I am not allowed because I have insufficient rights (I have administrator rights).

Also tried download the Microsoft anti-malware program and let it run. It couldn't find anything. The same thing happened with AVG, nothing found.

But whenever I move back to System Protector it pops up again.

A couple of days ago, I had the same "alert' with the same program on one of my mmo folders.

So far I have been unable to get rid of it. Is there any solution to my problem?

With regards,

Mark

Note: Running windows 8.1

Edit: Just tried hitmanpro. Didn't find anything either.
