64bit vista won't recognize laserjet 1300 on xp pro

I have a linksys wireless network. I have a laserjet 1300 connected to my xp

pro 32 bit dell desktop. My laptop is an Hp running 64 bit vista ultimate. I

installed HP's PCL6 universal driver for 64 bit systems (HPUPD41PCL6x64) on

the desktop and discovered the printer on the laptop. It still fails to print

when I test it. Any suggestions/
