XP64 Hangs on boot

Hey friends, can anybody advise? When XP64 gets to the welcome screen,

the blue progress bar with the moving dashes stops moving. If I hit the

reset button it boots ok but I have to tell it to start normally at the

boot menu, then it starts up ok.

 

Hoping I'm making this clear, please let me know if I'm not.
