Guest TKHaw Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 After I shut down my machine, it goes through all the shut down stuff then I get a blue screen: STOP................ Driver_Power_State_Failure Nothing else happens, so I just power the machine off. I have tried to manually turn off all programs prior to shut down, but this does not change the screen from coming on. Any ideas ? TK

Guest TKHaw Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Re: Blue Screen-----Stop Thanks Dave, I think that is what I need, however, I ran the sigverif.exe file and got several files that do not have signatures. I tried to look at one in 2007 as the problem started a few months ago. They are: msjint35.dll msjter35.dll aesisp.sys Should I find these and delete or move to recycle and see if that works ? Thanks. Guest Dave Patrick Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Re: Blue Screen-----Stop The first two are part of jet 3.5 DAO data access driver so reinstalling DAO 3.5 driver or MS Access or Office may correct any problems along this line. Guest TKHaw Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Re: Blue Screen-----Stop Thanks for your assistance Dave. What is DAO and where do I get it to reinstall ? I can reinstall Office and or Access. I will check on the other file and get back to you. Thanks again, I hope I can get this resolved. Guest Dave Patrick Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Re: Blue Screen-----Stop Looks to be an AEGIS protocol driver presumably installed with your wireless equipment. Guest TKHaw Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Re: Blue Screen-----Stop Dave, I was unable to get any upgrade through the Belkin website, although I did leave a message at Support stating the problem and what I thought I needed. Last night at shut down, I closed the Belking Wireless program completed before shutting down. I got the same Blue Screen result. Another problem I have is that my Background does not function. In Control Panel, Display, Background I cannot access any of the options and the ones that are there (yet not functional) are ones that I do not recognize and the ones I put there, are not there. What I do have for a background is a picture taken from an obscure file, that I thought is disposed of. All the other options in Display work except the Backgound one. Damn, I just checked and now the Background option is not even available. Any ideas on this one ? Thanks, TK "Dave Patrick" wrote: > You're welcome. > > -- > > Regards, > > Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup. > Microsoft Certified Professional > Microsoft MVP [Windows] > http://www.microsoft.com/protect > > "TKHaw" wrote: > >I have a Belkin, so I guess I will go to their website and check for > > updates. Thanks for your assistance, I will get back to you and let you > > know > > the outcome. > > > > TK > >

Guest TKHaw Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Re: Blue Screen-----Stop I tried to log on as a new user and the Background option is not there. This is puzzling as all of a sudden it changed, was there for awhile and now is not even there. I changed back via GO BACK as I did not remember my password for my regular automatic log on and could not get back to my regular settings. Guest TKHaw Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Re: Blue Screen-----Stop Dave, my Background option is back, however, the option NONE is highlighted and I cannot select any of the others. Also, the others that are there are not ones I recognize. They look like standard options, none of the ones I added are there. Basically, I cannot do anything with the Background option. Should I try the re-install/fix that you previously suggested ? Guest Dave Patrick Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Re: Blue Screen-----Stop I guess it depends on how bad you want this to work and possibly other issues.
