icons not displayed in mydocuments-control panel etc.,

I have installed astrology software in my PC having windows 2000

professional which was not installed properly. Subsequently I shut the PC and

today when I start it the icons in the login password dialogue box is found

to be larger than normal. To my surprise I could not found any icons in

mydocuments folder but at the bottom it shows 94 folders etc., When I open

control panel no icons are displayed. What went wrong? Any virus? Pl suggest

some remedy
