Bonjour Files?

I just realized, because my firewall gave me some warnings, that an

application called "Bonjour" by "Apple Computer" is installed on both of my

Vista machines. Is this a Windows system component? If not, how did it get

on my systems?

Re: Bonjour Files?

Hi John,

Are there any Macs on your network? Bonjour is not part of Windows.

Re: Bonjour Files?

No, there are no Macs. I just realized that this came with Adobe

Dreamweaver.

Thanks for replying, though.

Re: Bonjour Files?

There don't need to be Macs. Just Apple software.

It is installed by Safari 3, iTunes (network discovery of iPod?)

And of course Intel-Macs run Windows. So just another PC.

yes, iTunes looks for wireless "remote speakers", and it contains a

(stripped) copy of the bonjour service (which is available on the apple

website as a separate download)
