Power Saver in Display fails often

Just a bit annoying that I have to reset the power saver from time to time - in

fact very often.

When I set it - it will usually work 2-3 times and then pack in with the screen

showing as I return.

Unfortunately the Acronis backups I have are endowed with the same trouble - I

suppose that I might have to reinstall OS but really I do not want to do that if

it can be helped.
