Guest rubyjack Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Most of my windows programs start in a nice neat place. However, I have some bad boys that don't. They start in positions that obscure things like the minimize, maximize, close buttons; or the side or bottom scroll bar is not visible; and so on. Is there a way to set the startup position of a programs window to where I want it to be instead of where it wants to be. Frustrated, Dan Hacker -- ---------- Madness takes its toll. Guest Dave Patrick Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Re: Setting window startup position Are you saying they're partially off screen? I'd check the hardware manufacturer's web site for the latest graphics adapter driver. -- Regards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup. Guest rubyjack Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Re: Setting window startup position I guess that is what I'm saying. They are starting up "off-center" with parts of the window off the screen edge. Guest Dave Patrick Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Re: Setting window startup position It could be the operating is unaware of the actual desktop space because of incorrect driver or it's also possible the application is at fault. -- Regards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup.
