Internal PC speaker doesnt work with x64

I can not get Internal PC speaker to work with x64 Xp or Vista but it

works fine under 32 bit XP. Im using Beep API function to test.

Device manager has system speaker listed as working. Im using p5b

deluxe motherboard. Anyone know how I can get it to work?
