You most likely have a product installed that is affected by these changes. It

doesn't have to be specifically Office 2007 products, although the title of

these hotfixes may imply this limitation.

 

Here's an example:

 

Look up MS KB 936960 and you'll find that it impacts the following:

 

APPLIES TO

. Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007

. Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007

. Microsoft Office Professional 2007

. Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007

. Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007

File Formats

. Microsoft Expression Web

 

 

So even if your system has older versions of Office products installed, you may

have the compatibility pack installed which warrants this hotfix.

 

You can check your history of changes via the Windows Update website.
