I blocked a program from the start-up list and now everytime I start vista 64

I get a message "I have blocked programs on start up". In win XP I could

elect not to get the message. How do I do this in Vista?

Dogin,

What I have always done in XP was to run msconfig and identify the registry

key that launches the program and then delete it in the registry, using

regedit.exe.

That way I get rid of annoying messages on next boot.

Make a backup of the registry key (export it) in case you need it again in

the future

Thanks, I will do that if there is no turn off mechanism like in win XP.

RE: How to get rid of "block on start up message"

Hello,

Did you block the programs using msconfig?

you can run msconfig /commit:n

N is number of the tab that you want to commit,

For startup programs on Windows Vista my TAB is 4 so I would make the

changes

Then run msconfig /commit:4 to commit the changes

You should be prompted to confirm before it happens

Thanks,
