Thanks for any help

I posted elsewhere, but i need all the help i can get..

here is what i have, i can get to the internet through either connection,

I can setup a vpn session to 10.0.1.106 from my local pc (10.0.1.107) and it

connects, but if I try and go from 10.0.1.107 - internet my ip on the wan

side of my router, i get the 721 error.

I use the same user name and password on both connections

in my router is forwarded ports

41-47 to 10.0.1.106

1723 to 10.0.1.106

maybe i dont have port 47 setup right, i just set it up under port

forwarding to go to my win2k3 sevr

pptp pass through is enabled.

Please suggest anything, I have tried most things I have found on the

internet, including disableing nic 2 until the svr boots up, still not

working?

router --- hub --- win2k3 server nic 1

10.0.1.5 -- 10.0.1.106

other side

router --- hub --- router --- w2k3 svr nic 2

10.0.1.5 -- 192.168.15.1 -- 192.168.15.2

internet to wan side, gets up to verifying username and password, then

gives the 721 error

I justed checked with Comcast and they say they do not block GRE packets

Also I have a linksys router. What confuses me is that if i us the intrant i

can log on

no problem, its just when i use the internet i have to problem. thanks

If you have enabled PPTP pass through you are OK. You don't need to open

port 47. Disable port forwarding 41 to 47. If that doesn't fix the problem,

use the following VPN troubleshooting tools to test it.
