Guest John Smith Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Setup; Windows 2000 PC with SP4, Grisoft Virus scanner, DVtel Camera Software. I am receiving alot of these errors; Event Type: Error Event Source: DCOM Event Category: None Event ID: 10002 Date: 12/13/2007 Time: 8:14:14 PM User: N/A Computer: NVRS-SERVER Description: Access denied attempting to launch a DCOM Server. The server is: {E6748EC3-47B8-4C00-8865-C26DEB4CEC0F} The user is Unavailable/Unavailable, SID=Unavailable. The GUID is a service that the camera software uses that is called "OmniDir" When you install this Dvtel software it creates its own user as well. Where do i need to go to give this service "OmniDir" access to launch a DCOM Server? thanks
Guest John John Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Re: DCOM Error 10002 Try running dcomcnfg and see if you can change the security settings there.
