Guest TestTurtle Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I solved my own problem when I found PC Wizard 2008 at majorgeeks.com, unlike my previous attempts with aida32 where I couldn't ID the chipset or motherboard manufacturer PC Wizard did. However while Aida32 generates links to product info or driver downloads PC Wizard just identifies and then u have to go to work at the manufacturer's web site and use the local search engine to get the drivers. It is still a powerful tool and guide for setting up a roll-your-own or a 'mystery' second hand machine and it is freeware, no I don't work at majorgeeks and have no stake in them. Another good place for the DIY crowd is free-codecs.com or just codecs.com, whatever they're calling themselves these days. So while I'm here, I'll do a google after, does any one know who is First International Computer,Inc... (K8MC51G) probably refers to the specific motherboard or type thereof. -later.
