Guest tex shalter Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Isn't there some way in win2000 to make an emergency repair disk (or bootable CD) with my CD burner alone. That is- without floppy disk or drive
Guest John John Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Re: emergency repair disk from CD No, the ERD repair process will only accept files on a floppy diskette. As for the bootable CD, you can create a Bart's PE disk (with a Windows XP cd) or download the UBCD4Win version of the PE disk and use it to do repairs on Windows 2000 installations. Guest tex shalter Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Re: emergency repair disk from CD I guess what I was asking to do was install all my current system files onto a cd. What you're saying is that I use the win2000 disk repair console to find my backed up system files on the hard drive ? Sorry to be so dense, Is that the procedure ?
