Guest Meinolf Weber Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Re: Microsoft DVD/CD-ROM drive Hello eXistenZ, I think MS is not the vendor of the drive, check the drive itself for the vendor. Because it can not read the info from it, there will be only a disk drive presented and that's the reason for the MS description. So open the machine and have a look. Restart and let Windows discover the New Hardware and install a driver for it. DVD/CD ROM drives do not reqire a driver from the manufacturer. Windows should install the following driver set: cdrom.sys redbook.sys storprop.dll -- Posted via NewsDemon.com - Premium Uncensored Newsgroup Service ------->>>>>>http://www.NewsDemon.com<<<<<<------ Unlimited Access, Anonymous Accounts, Uncensored Broadband Access
