Legacy Mode

I have a Dos MRP program that has been reworked to run as a Windows

application. As the program has a maximum number of concurrent users we

delete the user log file each night to clear redundant users. The first

person who logs on in the morning is supposed to recreate the file. This

works fine over the network but does not work as when logged in on a TS

session. I have been told that we need to set up the TS account in Legacy

mode. Does anyone have any info on this. What is legacy mode? How does it

differ from a normal TS session? what impact will it have on running

conventional applications on TS.

Many Thanks

RE: Legacy Mode

I think you are referring to:

Terminal Services Configuration, server settings, permission compatibility

choose relaxed security for legacy apps

choose full security otherwise

Your terminal server will perform well for all applications in relaxed

security mode, however, your terminal server is NOT as secure!
