Remove PC from Workgroup

Hi,

 

How I can remove my PC (Win XP MCE) from a workgroup?

I can't change it because it's inactive since last time I joined PC to a

new workgroup.

You can join it to a new workgroup if desired.

Control Panel|System|Computer Name|Change, enter in a new name for the

workgroup.

That is the problem, the workgroup name area is inactive now (after

joining current workgroup), may be i need to restart a certain

service(s) in services.msc or just waiting may be it have a time out

thing!!!!

You'll need to be logged on as local administrator. Also possibly Client for

Microsoft Networks (aka workstation service) may need to be installed. Other

possibility is third party networking tools have taken control of these

settings.
