Guest aclhkaclhk Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 I have a motherboard, gigabyte (ga-q35-s2) using this controller: Intel Corporation 82801IR/IO/IH (ICH9R/DO/DH) 4 port SATA IDE Controller (rev 02) harddisk: 320G, sata2 formating and copying files to harddisk are ok but after reboot: invalid boot.ini booting from c:\winnt ntdetect failed Pls kindly advise.

You have to provide more details as to what steps you have taken during Windows setup. In bios setup what is SATA Port0-3 Native Mode (Intel ICH9DO Southbridge) set to? I'm assuming the partition you're installing to is 128G or smaller?
