removing ghost computers from network neighborhood

I recently left a network of 3 computers

However, when viewing network neighborhood, these computers are still listed.

I am no longer involved with a network

How can I remove them?

I don't know. I never used it. There is a lot about networking in

Windows Help. Also, here are many articles about it. Would you be able

to recognise the answer if you saw it...?...

Maybe work out a plan & post it for someone to examine. That won't be

me!

Thanks or Good Luck,

There may be humor in this post, and,

Naturally, you will not sue,

Should things get worse after this,

They're supposed to go away by themselves after a certain period of

time. Disable the Browser service and the browse list should clear up.

Re: removing ghost computers from network neighborhood

Control Panel -> Network applet -> File and printer sharing for

Microsoft Networks -> Properties -> Browse Master -> Set to Disabled.

Click OK, and restart the computer. You can disable File and Printer

sharing completely, you are no longer on a network so no need for it.
