Windows XP SP2 - my computer keeps shutting down

[Guest Rigo]

Does anyone know why my computer shuts off after I download SP2?

 

Once I download SP2, my pc does not make it to the welcome screen, it keep

rebooting.

 

Any ideas?

This newsgroup is for 64bit issues, and it sounds like you're running

regular Windows XP. I suggest you post in their newsroup:

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general, or microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics

Maybe not Charlie. We all did SP2 for x64 not that long ago ourselves.
