Is Internet content cached on HD or in the memory?

When I watch video clips on youtube, it takes time to download it, so that

when viewing it for the second time it plays without downloading so it must

be cached somewhere. Is it cached on disk or in the memory?

The content is stored in your Temp folder. For example many videos

are in Flash format and if you monitor your temp folder you'll likely

see a module with .Flv extension while the video is being streamed.

All web browsers - Internet Explorer, Netscape, whatever - cache pages

you have visited in disk files.

Not always, especially with streaming video or audio. Depending on DRM

settings, it may only buffer in memory.

You're right, my statement was valid only in a general sense.
