Guest Colin Barnhorst Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Re: Hiding Vista volumes from XP (volsnap.sys issue revisited) Now that I think of it, I really don't care about boot or system. I could just as easily have said "any volume with Vista VSS files on it." After all, a CompletePC Backup user would not keep the images on any of the system volumes but would save them to another volume altogether. That volume would need to be hidden from XP as well. I haven't gone into that detail in the GP because the user needs to work that one out based on his backup plan. "R. C. Guest Don Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Re: Updated: Hiding Vista volumes from XP Re: Updated: Hiding Vista volumes from XP Hey Colin, Just wanted to let you know, now that I am getting some critical apps installed and running on my Vista 64 bit, I gave this a go this morning. Worked very well, my two Vista partitions are now hidden from XP, and Vista is retaining restore points now.
