Removing some security in IE6

Hi,

Removing security stuff from IE6 - using Win-xp Pro +SP2.

I wanted to remove the top YELLOW Bar which SP2 added to my browser.

I don't need this kind of protection and I wanted to allow ALL Kind Of Stuffs

to come out in my browser IE6 the soonest as possible liked I used to opened

PowerPoint .htm files without the SP2.

YES, I really meant "ALL" and even those Virus and others Spy-wares Intruders

to come and stay for a while ONLY. Please do not worry for I know how to

tackles ALL of them.

I can Uninstall SP2 from Control Panel BUT I wouldn't do it because others

MVP wants me to updated to SP2 before they're happy to help me -- in other

words: They all welcome me with my OE-6 and IE-6 + SP2 installed.

Please do not direct me to PowerPoint (PPT) NG as they already direct me to you.

I need best possible solution even using RegEdit if needed. I already did my best in

Control Panel Security tab but no success.

TIA,

Rino

You can disable the Pop-up Blocker via the Tools dropdown menu but you

cannot disable the Information Bar.

Hi Pa Bear, I did the above to disable Pop-up sound and Blocker but still it gives sound

and Blocked.

I also did this:

I enabled many and lower to 'Low" Internet Security settings -- the same problem and no

improvement.

I feel installing SP2 gives more headache than cure. I don't care for more security BUT

I do care fast and easy uses of my personal computer. I loved SP1 than 2 and many felt

the same.

Do you have other suggestion for me? Many thanks for helping me now & B4.

You're not ALLOWED to do that anymore, Bubba. (This is WinXP, not

Win98SE).

If you think I am NUTS but can you explain why? or How?

I am eager to hear what you understand my case. I'll also explain my side if you still

don't understand my problem of using SP2. Let's see if you can write more than 2 words

and be a man of many words.

Because you want your browser to be completely free of all protection.

That MORE than qualifies you to be "nuts".

My advice: Leave ALL of the added security that SP2 provides to

IE6 alone and get on with life.

you want faster performance, get a newer computer and get it fully patched,

you think you can handle it, what about the other machines on the net that

yours attempts to infect.

nuts.

So definitely - you're a NUTS!

Better ask yourself: Why you afraid of Viruses and all those Spy-ware & Mal-ware intruders?

Why you cannot tame them - they're a good pet in your PC or beats it because Jim Cramer's

always said in MAD Money "They don't know NOTHING" !

Not me - that is why you are a NUTS!

I came here to ask for help and you came here just to called me NUTS? Shame on you with

no respect for elder senior's. If you're in my company - I'll fired you instantly!

Oh boy, now you miss the chance to know what I knew, even you beg for mercy.

You are a LOSER and not MAN of INTEGRITY.

You blew it and cannot just keep quiet like any whimper because you still don't know nothing!

You're wrong and Thanks for your NOT helping me and just listening BUT

believe it or not - I did found the trick all by myself. So, A BIG Thanks To Me!

Don't you think anybody could figure this out even without your help? And

even without deleting SP2 from control Panel? I promised you again that I'll

leaved my SP2 intact so as to make you happy and most satisfied.

> Get that machine fully patched!

When you'll stop convincing me? You already heard me said many times that

I don't need those Security Patches and Updates. I'll always hope when you see

me check-in this or the next years -- you already have a change of heart. I hope

you always remember those *changes* you need to be a good MVP.

Now, I'm also happy - I could now open HTML file created by PowerPoint

only with ONE click both from the Web or local file. I hope those who wishes

for the fix shall likewise find their own fixes.

Thanks to all for knowing you ;o)

Cheers!

Rino

P.S. // Thanks for letting me control my thread -- you can now delete all names

calling posts -- my BIG sorry 2 D 1 who needed it.

WoW! Look nice - Security expert?

You still want me to 'put up' and not accepting my Thanks? Wo-wo . .

You really beg me to tell how?

Or demanding me to come out to 'prove it'?

Why should I because I am really a NUTS?

Cannot you dick it out that there are zillions of options there?

Am I NUTS? Wasting all my times and this precious spaces just to prove?

Others already kept quiet BUT you come out still shouting!

Don't fight fire with gasoline but go mind your own business or help others.

You really cannot understand and refuses to accept that I found my fix?

Tell me why I can accept that you always right before BUT on this very topic

I found you're wrong? You knew it takes a lot of things to prove you are

smart, but ONLY ONE thing to prove you are wrong. We all accepted

this -- how about you?

You better consult a psychiatrist and let him check how happy I am with my

new found fix. Who said to check your mind -- I never said that. Give him

this printed text messages -- he know how to read between these lines. He

will tell you the same truth as I am telling you now.

I've to close by saying either you believed me or not -- period.
