Guest Dee Freeland Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Since I have started using ISCSI Initiator, I am getting The Open Procedure for service "PerfDisk" in DLL IN "C:\winnt\system32\perfdisk.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. How do I fix this? thanks -- Dee

Guest John John Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Re: Perflib Event ID 1008 The diskperf counter is not enabled, if you want to do Performance monitoring on the disk it has to be enabled and the computer has to be rebooted. If you don't want to do perfermance monitoting on the disk turn off the counter. Using Diskperf in Windows 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/253251/en-us Counters can be disabled via registry edits or with the Extensible Performance Counter List (exctrlst.exe) tool: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&familyid=7FF99683-B7EC-4DA6-92AB-793193604BA4 John Dee Freeland wrote: > Since I have started using ISCSI Initiator, I am getting > > The Open Procedure for service "PerfDisk" in DLL IN > "C:\winnt\system32\perfdisk.dll" failed.
