SP1 problem if some Vista features turned off?

Hello all:

When I installed Vista 64 bit I turned off some Vista features in Control

Panel thatI do not need or use. Will this cause a problem when SP1 is

installed?

Re: SP1 problem if some Vista features turned off?

Hello Colin Barnhorst:

Whew! Thanks for the reply. I don't even remember what I turned off

and there is no "return to default setting". After reading all the posts

about problems people are having, I'm just trying to make sure that my 2

Vista pc's will be helped by SP1 and not messed up when they are updated. I

have no choice but to use windows update to install SP1 since I can't

download the complete update with dial-up internet. It will still tie up my

phone line for a long time with 2 pcs to update at 56k.

If WU is offering you SP1 then you don't have a known problematic driver and

all should go routinely. If you do encounter a driver issue simply

uninstall and reinstall the driver.
