Guest Phil Galey Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 My setup screen for my motherboard doesn't have an option for setting the state of NUM LOCK when starting Windows. Is there a way to set that through Windows 2000 or in the Registry?

Guest Dave Patrick Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Re: Setting the NUM LOCK Startup State For the current user; set numlock to on, then log off. Windows 2000 will save your setting. Windows 2000 ignores the bios on this issue. Set the Reg_Sz string value of "InitialKeyboardIndicators"="2" HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard will set the numlock to "On" when no one is logged on. May need to restart for effect. -- Regards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup.
