Windows 2000 professional service pack 1

I installed the sp1 and now my screen stops at the "prepairing network

connection" I left it for over 2 hours and nothing happened. Safe mode does

not work either. Help PLEASE!!!

 

I also can not install SP4 it just says error occured while installing. Then

nothing..not numbers or reason why I can not install it.
