Yellow folder/Shortcut/Program desktop icons cobering half of scre

Good Day Everyone,

 

I have yellow folder icons, shortcut icons, and program desktop icons

covering half of my screen.

 

Which of these icons can I remove 'without' removing the entire program. I

still want to access them through 'Programs, Start' and the desktop tray but

not on the desktop screen.

You can delete most if not all shortcuts

As for programs, they shouldnt be installed to the desktop, I suspect that

many might be installer shorcuts, and if so they can either be deleted or

moved to another folder

PS If you custom install an application there is generally an option as to

whether to create shorcuts
