Turbo Tax in Vista 64 bit?

Recommended Posts

Hey gang,

Just curious, anyone here successfully run Turbo Tax in Vista 64 bit?

I know my Quicken Deluxe 2008 runs ok, I had already installed and filed my

taxes with Turbo Tax on my XP Install, just thinking about the future (

eventually I will probably wipe the XP install) - as of now I have pretty

much got all my required programs running ok in Vista Ultimate 64 bit, just

hope this next go around Turbo Tax will run in it as well. I did not see

Vista 64 listed as supported in Turbo Tax, but don't think I saw it for

Quicken Deluxe 2008 either and it runs just fine.

Yes, both 2006 and 2007.

So does Taxcut. Only Taxcut runs without the draconian copy protection, and

doesn't argue with you if you reformat your HD and reinstall, or put it on

your laptop :-)

Cool, thanks guys, very good to know.

That was the last application I was concerned about running in my 64 bit

Vista, sounds like all will be well.

Re: Turbo Tax in Vista 64 bit?

I'm a fairly recent convert to 64 bit Windows, and I've found very few

programs that actually don't work. Most of the ones that don't work require

64 bit drivers that aren't available (webcams, scanners, printers, etc), or

are old 16 bit programs. Your average run of the mill business class

softtare all works great. Oh, and HP deskjet 64 bit drivers are beta only

and will quickly blue screen Windows, so if you have newer HP deskjet, you

might have to use older deskjet drivers to get them to work.

Re: Turbo Tax in Vista 64 bit?

Actually, I have the HP Officejet 5610 all in one, have had it for over 2

years now I think, and I was pleased to see there were 64 bit Vista drivers

available for it, seems to be working fine.

Thanks,

Neither does TurboTax. I've installed it on the desktop and laptop,

formatted, re-installed Vista and TurboTax and never had any

problem?????
