You cannot. SP1 can only be uninstalled if it was installed subsequent to

the installation of the OS. Your Vista was installed already at service

pack level 1 so there is no SP1 package to remove like there would be if the

upgrade had been done through Windows Update.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to delete it?

Re: How to Delete SP1?

One reason could be that his dvd is rtm. There are some operations that

require the dvd and the installed Windows to be at the same service pack

level. A good example is further down in the ng where a user bought a

retail copy of Vista Ultimate upgrade and discovered it was an older copy

rather than a newer one with SP1 integrated. He could not upgrade his Vista

Home Premium because he just bought the machine and it came with VHP SP1.

Since the dvd and installed windows are at different service pack levels,

Setup on the dvd will not let him perform the upgrade.

Re: How to Delete SP1?

Hello,

If u buy WinUltimate Upgr I think u can use ur Vista SP1 dvd with the Upgr

Product Key w/o problems. Every dvd of Vista is the same, only the product

Key change..

Re: How to Delete SP1?

Not when the versions are different. Vista rtm and Vista SP1 are different

versions. If you got SP1 standalone on a dvd then you could use it to

upgrade Vista rtm but not when SP1 is integrated.
