Hi.

 

Can SQL 2000 64 bits be installed and run on a em64 server? Will the db

server engine run in 64 bits mode or on 32 wow64?

No. SQL 2000 64-bit runs on Itanium processors, a completely different

64-bit architecture. It won't run at all on an x64 server. You can run the

32-bit version of SQL Server, or you can run an x64 version of SQL Server

2005 (or later).
