How do I prevent a program from loading at start up?

The programs that automatically start do not appear in my Startup folder so I

have no idea how to stop them from starting automatically. Can anyone help me?

 

Also, how do I change the order that programs start? I would like my

firewall to start first.

run msconfig and take any unwanted apps out of startup
