Okay so here we go -

Went around to try and help my folks with their PC as they had got a virus.

Virus was spamming lots of windows saying trying to get them to download antivirus to stop their pc from "serious threat" but of course the antivirus was just part of the virus and had stopped the firewall working.

Also made the websites automatically direct to dodgy advertising sites.

I tried couple of things and couldnt get it working. Then managed to download adaware and ran that...

It found the virus and to my knowledge didnt ask to remove things, it just did and then restarted.

Since then i have not been able to restart windows. It just goes to the windows sign and then reboots itself over and over again. Safe mode doesnt load either.

I can get into bios settings etc though.

Put in windows xp disc to try and do the "repair" option but says i have no harddrives installed.

Running out of ideas (last one is trying to run linux and get the files they need and then do a full wipe)

Has anyone else got any suggestions? I dont have a floppy disc drive to install any harddrive files.

Please any suggestions would be helpful :)

Have you checked in the BIOS to see if the HDD is visible?

Have you tried continuosuly tapping F10 to see if you get the safe mode/safe mode with networking etc to come up?
