add/remove programs

Under the 'add/remove programs' of the control panel, most of the programs

listed have indications on how often programs are used. There are programs

that I know I use frequently, yet the listing reports that I use the

programs infrequently -- or I used them over a month ago.

Why? Is this important? If so, how would I make corrections?

Because this part of Add/Remove Programs isn't accurate.

No.

N/A, see above.

Not important, find something else to worry about.

It depends on how the programs are launched. The add/remove only counts

those launches where the program is directly launched from the start button.

If it is launched by double clicking on a target file (for example, a .doc

file created by Word), then the launch is not counted. Similarly if the

program is invoked from another program it is not counted.

stupidity is relative.

it's a good idea to

avoid using it because

the funny thing about

words like these is that

they are viewed by many

as a reflection on your

state of mind and limited

cognitive resources, in

addition to vocabulary.

you will know when

your in bad company

when you use the word

and people around you

are humored and laugh.

It was a reference to a 1970s (?) comedy show. However, as it was an

American show, your point may have some validity. It certainly wasn't

funny - the show that is.
