Guest George Hester Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I believe Microsoft's fix for that isssue http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305098 is in SP3. But I am at SP3. And still restricted from seeing the full size of the disk. Can I get that specific hotfix from anyone? -- George Hester _________________________________

Start/run/regedit (if unsure export registry for safety) select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE navigate to system/services/atapi/parameters or system/currentcontrolset/services/atapi/parameters right click for new Select Dword name it EnableBigLba (take note of case) set value to 1 end regedit reboot B|rge in sunny Perth, Australia
Guest George Hester Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Re: 137 GB limit on harddrive? No the BIOS doesn't recognize that. I had run that hotfix on an Old Pentium I and it can see over the limit. I just forgot to do it here. -- George Hester _________________________________ "Pegasus (MVP)" <I.can@fly.com.oz> wrote in message news:eaCFWgKwIHA.2028@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > > "George Hester" <hesterloli@hotmail.com> wrote in message > news:O%23QcthJwIHA.4476@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > >I believe Microsoft's fix for that isssue > > > > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305098 > > > > is in SP3. Guest George Hester Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 Re: 137 GB limit on harddrive? Thanks man. You know with SP3 I checked in the Registry as you said (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE?SYSTEM?CurrentControlSet?Services?atapi?Parameters) and the darm entry isn't there.
