Hi, Can I get back files from a profile I removed? I setup new users on local PCs & copied the old profile to the new profile. I then removed the old profile but apparently the Outlook .PST files stay in the old profile & continue to point there. I now have several users w/ no OL. Any ideas PLEASE. Thx, D

That was graphic no pun intended. I had had a tech, certified and all help flash bios and all. Short story he never plugged video card in. In my swapping cards back and forth noticed that it need to be plugged in. rating is 4.4 I can get to elevated screen or what ever it is. Problem was with being able to get to secure desk top without crashing machine I was in a jam. This time I think I have it. I may even try the last 2 sticks of ram. It has been a fight but I think that may have been problem. Thank You Thank you

Hello. I've a Windows 2000 srv domain controller with active directory, I do my backups with windows ntbackup on 10 DLTs 40 Gb. I have just replaced all old 10 DLTs with other new 10 DLTs, and last week I saw a difference of the DLTs showed by Removable Storage snap- in and ntbackup: Removable Storage showed 20 DLTs and ntbackup 30 DLT catalogs. With no DLT cassette mounted in the DLT drive, I've removed (eliminated) all the 30 DLT catalogs showed in ntbackups (right click, eliminate) , and all the 20 DLT showed in Removable Storage were eliminated too automatically. hi everyone.. i'm having a trouble logging on to my computer.. every time i try to log on to windows, i keep having this error message: "The system cannot log you on due to the following error: Error performing inpage operation Please try again or consult your system administrator" i already tried to boot into safe mode, and try logging in with all accounts including the administrator account, but i'm still having the same error message.. I had a catastrophic trojan error a few days back. Here's my system: 2 Maxtor sata drives (6l200mo {200gb sata}, 6l300so {300gb sata} 1 WD 400bb {40gb IDE} AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+ (2.0ghz); I just got another 2 gb of ram installed, so I'm up to 3 gb; my mobo is a Fatality an8-sli. Before the fatal error, I was running the 200gb as my Windows drive and the 300gb held all my games, music and photos and stuff like that. Hi, I have a webserver (windows 2003 standard) within a virtual system. The server wasn't reachable during a critical amout of time and I need to checkout if the reason came from my virtual instance or not. Beside the fact, that the event logs don't show any errors, there is one thing which is strange for me: The security event log usually shows daily events 552 (user: system, source: security), bot NOT during the two days, when the server was not accessible. Hello every body i need a quick Help Pls. i've one VPN user account, for some reason it should be used on more than one machine on the SAME site. when connecting to the remote VPN server,1 user connec successfully and the reamining ones didn't. I am setting up a system with four monitors using two Radeon Sapphire graphics cards. However, we need to use the video port on the motherboard as the primary screen for a total of five monitors. When I plug everything in and install the drivers i reboot and monitor 2 comes up to the Windows XP loading screen. Then blanks out and none of the screens show anything. All monitor power lights are amber except for monitor two which is green but the screen is black. Any ideas?

Got an add-on graphics card (Radeon 7000, PCI slot) in my new PC. This card was moved from my old PC. Somehow, on the old PC, I had managed to get three monitors working: - Two on the Radeon card - One on the PC's built-in graphics processor I'd like to do the same thing on the new PC - which is showing only the two monitors on the graphics card. Hello all, Here is my setup: Windows XP Media Center SP 2. ----- The Problem: When I have multiple folders open, it shows as a single program on the Start Bar. When I left-click on the list, I see a list of the folders. If I right-click on any of the background items in the list and select Close, it restores that window instead of closing it. This is really annoying. It started happening after some update a few months ago. I found that this happens now on Windows 2003 and Windows XP Pro/Home machines. It used to work. Does anyone have a fix/solution for this?

I don't want to sound like a basher but I just can't imagine it does any good. Any time I search explorer still crawls though the disk one folder at a time. But I am still a little afraid ot kill it so I'm asking if it ever does anything good. My desire to kill it comes from my belief that it is one of the reasons (clearly not the only) XP sometimes goes so S_L_O_W. Task manager at those times shows usage at 100% and explorer at 95% to 99%. Any thoughts? Thanks, Chas

Config: Windows 2003 R2 SP2 servers with scheduled Tasks. Problem: When we delete a scheduled Tasks, all other scheduled tasks got as last result 0x80 when they are run . When we restart the Task Scheduler service the problem stays. When we restart the server everthing is fine. The Human Interface Device Access service is disabled.

Am having problems with the themes on the TS box and clients connecting but not getting the theme. Have a application that runs by TS and when I run it directly from the TS server looks fine but when clients connect to the TS server to run the app it looks terrible and barely viewable. The clients connecting range from thin clients to normal desktops all by rdp with theme enabled and max(LAN experience) settings enabled. Any ideas?? Any settings that I have missed?

I have a client's network who has 3 servers...1 of which is a domain controller. After a reboot on the DC i am unable to RDP into the console of the server. I get "This computer can't connect to the remote computer." I am trying to avoid a lengthly drive into the site. Can Someone help? I performed netstat and verfiied all is listening on the RDP port 3389 which it is. Thanks

The full message is "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1 during a paging operation." MS HELP says "If these events are logged regularly on a primary system drive, replace the device." This has happened 8 times in 2 weeks. Where do I find out which disk "Harddisk1" is. I only have 1 disk on the server so I guess it is it. Additional info - I think it has started to happen when I started a ASR backup using NTBACKUP to a USB HD. -- Regards Tom
