      ntbackup restore without second set

      For a long time, around - 1 month we did incremental back-up using ntbackup utility. Few days ago it ask for another tape due to a space limit. We install new tape and it finish back-up normally. After that we use the second tape (set2) for another back-up - so it was deleted. Now we try to restore data from first tape. NTbackup try to list backups and ask for second tape. If we press cancel it eject tape so we can't restore data from first tape. :( How restore data only from this tape without the second one? Before this situation we use this device (i.e. back-up/restore) for four years without problems. -- bsdaemon ---------------------------------------…

      Can anyone tell me whether there is a way to force a Scheduled Task to run automatically at next boot-up (or some other time when the system is running) if the PC is turned off when the scheduled time occurs? I'm running WinXP (SP3) on a stand-alone desktop. -- Ian A Robinson

      Hi, We have a site with a Windows 2003 R2 (SP2) terminal server, and a Windows 2003 SBS (SP2) server running Exchange. There are 15 users on the terminal server, some of them working off PCs, some off laptops. There are three laptop users who have been having regular problems with their session. At a random point (for no apparent reaon - there are no regular errors appearing in the event logs on either server or the laptops) all the bold text in the session disappears.       Hello I've got two question about DPM2007. Hope someone can help here... (there is no support in the private forum from ms...) 1. I had to install the dpm protection client on a server manually. (remote install did not work) i did specify the dpm manger and did reboot the server. but on the dpm manager, i can't see this server id like to protect... how can i import a client to the dpm server? 2. I' did made backups from a Protection Group to tape... now i wanna erase the data on this tape to make it empty... DPM tells me now, i have to Stop the Protection group... how stupid is that? is there no other possibility to just erase the tape without stopp…

      They must be stored somewhere since they're clearly downloaded given the data transfer activitythat stops at a certain point. I've tried searching various ways - by size, date, also not finding them searching for mp3. Are they another file type? Any assistance will be appreciated.
